Kindergarten students in Mrs. Hutton's class investigated the movement of the sun along with changes in the moon with the help of 5th grade science buddies.
5th grade students at Washington STEM Academy went through many weeks learning about the body and about knee injuries. With our knowledge gained, students were able to engineer a knee brace to aid the injured knee model to perform like a healthy knee.
Students in 5th grade explored what life as a Mars Pioneer would be like! This involved going to the Challenger Center up in Hammond, IN as well as visits from Science Central and using LEGO robotics to understand what needs to be done to make life on Mars possible
