The Madison Chess Teams represented our school well last weekend at the Indiana State Chess Team Regional. The team of Jonah Reichenbach, Noah Shepherd, Isaiah Courtois, and Dane Koontz placed third overall, qualified for state, and earned another trophy for the trophy case. The team of Subbu Muthiah, Kaitlyn Evans, Claire Reichenbach, and McKale Hagg also qualified for state by placing 8th at the regional.

In the 3rd grade and under division, Madison is in a rebuilding year.  The team of Danny Moon, Carson Devanathan, Zach Evans, and Leigh Hertel placed 13th at regional while the team of Cole Koontz, Roman Hoffman, Jaron Courtois, and Matthias Kohrpilati placed 16th.

State finals will be on Saturday, March 19, in Hammond.
